What is it?
The sacroiliac (SI) connects the base of the spine to the pelvis. It has two interchanges and a strong network of bands, because it is a burden joint. The compound has a kind of mechanism that limits movement of the interlocking joint.

The SI joint can also be easily irritated and inflamed, causing pain in the lower back and buttocks. If left untreated, it can become joint arthritis.

What are the causes?
The most common reason for the SI joint work is not properly lit and that is the position of the pelvis in relation to the curvature of the base of the spine out of balance. If the pelvis is tipped or tilted, and the connection points on the joints are not properly seated, it will break down uneven wear and tear and will during the period of joint and arthritis.

It is important to understand that not change the position of the pelvis and the position of the spine during the night. It takes time, often many years of the muscles out of balance with each other to achieve this. These muscle imbalances cause postural imbalances. Someday, when the muscles, bones and ISG does not work as they should be, this is a condition known sacroiliac joint dysfunction.

What are the symptoms?
The majority of the complaints range from local pain, radiating pain in the legs or buttocks area.

What are the common treatments?
Cortisone injections directly into the joint, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), hot packs, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic exercises are widely used.

Why do traditional treatments fail?
Most traditional treatments fail because they address only the symptoms and not the cause of the disease. As we have explained, sacroiliac joint dysfunction is a physical problem, to which your muscles are thrown off balance. During injections and medications can help the inflammation, they are not on the reasons why your muscles are out of balance.

Which treatments work best?
The principles of Muscle Balance Therapy ™ address the pain and determine what the cause of the spine and pelvis, to the position in the first place.

Through strategic body review your individual muscular imbalances can be identified. Once this is done, be a very targeted corrective action program specifically designed for you to restore the proper functioning of the joint.
